What is the expiry date of Nespresso capsules?

Our capsules are hermetically sealed for optimal protection of the coffee aroma. There are two dates on each package: the production date and the expiration date. We guarantee freshness for up to 12 months from the date of production.

What is the caffeine content of coffee?

The amount of caffeine in the capsule depends on the type of green coffee used in the recipe. Robusta contains an average of 2.4% and Arabica approximately 1.3% of caffeine. Caffeine-free capsules contain less than 0.1% caffeine. Classic Nespresso capsules contain approximately 5 g of ground coffee, while Lungo capsules contain approximately 6 g of ground coffee. Example: pure Arabica in a classic Nespresso capsule (5 g) contains 5 g x 1.3% = 0.065 g = 65 milligrams (mg) of caffeine. Why does my Nespresso machine need descaling?

After a certain period of time, limescale accumulates in your device. This is a normal natural reaction that depends on the hardness of the water and the frequency of use of the appliance. Limescale can clog the pipes of the water circuit in the device or damage other parts. Among other things, this will have a negative effect on the temperature of the coffee, the heating time of your device and the perforation of the capsules. Basically, it will affect the quality of the coffee. In addition, it extends the life of your device. Use the Nespresso descaling kit every 3-4 months. This ensures optimal operation of the machine and a perfect cup of coffee every time.

How is the Rapid cappuccino system maintained in Lattissimi One?

Disassemble the Rapid Cappuccino system. Carefully wash off all milk residues with hot water (40°C). Soak all components in hot water (40 °C) together with a mild detergent for at least 30 minutes and rinse thoroughly with hot water. Clean the inside of the milk tank with a mild detergent and rinse with hot water. Do not use abrasive materials that could damage the surface of the equipment. Dry all parts with a clean towel, cloth or paper towel and reassemble.

Differences between Vertuo and Original line?

The Original line is designed for those who like classic espresso and espresso-based coffee (Americanos, Capuccino and Latte), while the Vertuo line is for those coffee lovers who enjoy different lengths of coffee. This line offers a wide selection of coffee blends (35 blends), various flavors and aromas within 5 lines: Espresso, Double Espresso, Gran Lungo, Mug and Carafe. The Vertuo line is equal in quality to the Nespresso Original line.

Which coffees can be prepared on the Vertuo and Original lines?

Vertuo meets the needs of those who enjoy high-quality coffees and coffees of various lengths, such as: Espresso, Double Espresso, Gran Lungo, Mug and Carafe. Vertuo offers a large selection of coffees for different cup sizes (35 different coffees). The Original line provides high-quality Espresso and Lungo coffees, which can be used with the Nespresso Aeroccino milk frother, as well as with the built-in milk systems in the machine for preparing Cappuccino and Latte drinks.

How does Verto differ from other coffees, such as filter coffee or instant coffee?

Vertuo will create a new segment of high quality coffee. The Vertuo system prepares coffee in a revolutionary way with its Centrifusion technology and its various capsules, which enable the preparation of different sizes of coffee, from a large cup to an Espresso coffee. Vertuo is also very easy to use, as it automatically recognizes the capsule (imprinted code on the capsule) it is preparing and adjusts the coffee extraction parameters. Thus, it creates the perfect coffee, with a silky and rich foam, which is a sign of high quality coffee.

What is the purpose of the barcode?

On the basis of the barcode located on the capsule, the Vertuo machine prepares coffee. The machine reads the code from the capsule, thereby identifying the capsule and adjusting the amount of water required for coffee extraction and other parameters required for each mixture and cup size in the most optimal way. The bar code on the edge of the capsule allows the machine to recognize the capsule, aligns the parameters necessary for a specific coffee: length of coffee, temperature, stake water pressure, rotation speed, water flow rate and others.

Can I use Original capsules in the Vertuo device?

No. The Nespresso Original machine and the Vertuo machine use different capsules, which are different in the interaction of the two systems. These are two separate lines that will appeal to different categories of coffee lovers.

How does foam form? What is the meaning of foam?

The foam is a naturally formed layer of coffee and air. It is produced during the extraction process, is a sign of the quality of the coffee and has the task of improving the pleasure. The foam protects the coffee aromas, which remain hardened in the cup. The aromas are released only when you consume your coffee. The foam allows consumers to take advantage of the full flavor profile of the coffee. In order to be able to enjoy the coffee with all your senses, we advise you to mix the foam well with the rest of the coffee and thus fully emphasize the aroma and flavors. Since the Vertuo system works with the help of the new Centrifusion technology, which is based on a high number of revolutions of the capsule per minute, it is a completely new machine, where it is necessary to prepare only a few coffees, so that the system will reach the maximum number of revolutions/revolutions and prepare coffee with abundant foam.

I prepared the coffee on the new Vertuo machine and the foam is not the same as I saw in the boutique and in the pictures. Is everything OK with the device?

Everything is fine. Like any new system, the Vertuo requires a short warm-up period to achieve full extraction. After just a few brewed coffees, your Vertuo cup of coffee will have generous foam, just like the one you had the chance to see in the boutique. As the Vertuo system works with the help of the new Centrifusion technology, which is based on a high number of revolutions of the capsule per minute, it is a completely new machine, where it is necessary to prepare only a few coffees for the system to reach the maximum number of revolutions and prepare coffee with abundant foam.

Can I use CARAFE capsules with all Vertuo devices?

Yes, except on a Vertuo PLUS device. It is not possible to prepare a CARAFE capsule here. The capsule is too big for the device itself.
